Benefit Cheek Parade Palette

Benefit Cheek Parade Palette

After having my makeup done by one of the lovely ladies at Benefit in Boots, St David’s (Cardiff) I couldn’t stop thinking about the face palette she had demonstrated to me, the Benefit Cheek Parade palette, and actually went back to buy it after about an hour. It was very much a spur of the moment decision but it is one that I definitely don’t regret.

 The Palette

As you can see from the photos, the palette contains 2 bronzers and 3 blushes. My main reason for buying this was the bronzers. I asked for a little help finding a bronzer colour that wouldn’t just make me look dirty like all of the other ones I’ve tried. I have quite pale skin so I really struggle to find bronzers that actually suit my skin tone. Hoola Lite mixed with a tiny bit of Hoola for a bit more colour is absolutely perfect. It gives me a bit of colour without making me look like I am either dirty or just don’t know how to use makeup!

As for the blushes, I have to say I’m impressed. I am really fussy with blush because I get quite red cheeks anyway and therefore don’t really need much there. These are lovely and subtle, but easy to build up if you want a bit more colour. I was a little scared by Galifornia at first since it’s so bright but it’s actually my favourite blush in the palette. With a light hand, it’s the perfect summer blush.

My Opinion

Since I am so hard to please with both bronzers and blushes, this palette has done incredibly well. I have used it every day since I bought it and am completely in love. I love that all of the colours can be subtle or strong, depending on how you apply them. Since I am so fussy, I’m really glad I found this palette. I just know it’s going to be a staple in my makeup bag for a very long time. It may have been more expensive than my average makeup purchase, but I honestly don’t think I’ll be buying bronzers or blushes again for a very long time. Despite the price, I think it’s worth it.
