Chocolate Guinness Cupcakes

It was my Grandad’s birthday last week and I took the occasion as an excuse to try a cupcake recipe that I might not necessarily jump to when baking for myself. Being neither a lover of Guinness or super strong chocolate cake I was skeptical, and while these weren’t my favourite, my family all loved them!

The sponge is incredibly moist and the Guinness taste is only very subtle so don’t be put off if you’re not a fan. The chocolate taste is much stronger. The reason these aren’t my favourite is purely because I found the chocolate taste too strong for me, not the Guinness taste. If you’re a fan of very strong chocolate tastes, I’d definitely recommend these!

I found the recipe in the Cake Book by Cupcake Jemma (surprise, surprise I know her recipes are just so good!) The exact recipe isn’t on YouTube but the one I have linked below is pretty close!
